Overview
Train and mentor new CDL-A drivers at R.E. West, Inc. in Nashville, Tennessee. You will coach safe driving practices, company procedures, and DOT compliance while sharing living quarters in the truck. Earn an average of $1,635/week plus a $5,000 sign-on bonus. What You'll Do7
- 1Train and mentor new CDL-A drivers on OTR routes, emphasizing safe driving practices and company procedures.
- 2Coach trainees on DOT compliance, hours of service, and electronic logging device usage.
- 3Evaluate trainee performance during on-road sessions, providing immediate feedback and corrective actions.
- 4Model defensive driving techniques and efficient shifting in Freightliner, Mack, and International trucks.
- 5Adapt training style to each trainee's learning pace, ensuring they meet CDL-A standards.
- 6Document trainee progress and communicate daily reports to dispatch and management.
- 7Foster a positive mentoring relationship while sharing living quarters in the truck without compromising professionalism.
Requirements7
- 1Valid CDL-A license with a clean driving record.
- 22+ years of OTR driving experience with previous driver training experience, OR 4+ years of OTR driving experience with a willingness to train.
- 321+ years old.
- 4Pass a DOT physical and drug screen.
- 5No misdemeanors or DUIs within the past 10 years.
- 6Ability to live in close quarters with a trainee for extended periods.
- 7Strong communication and mentorship skills, with a focus on safety and compliance.
