What You'll Do8
- 1Drive a bus daily over designated routes according to schedules while transporting students safely.
- 2Conduct pre and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure operational readiness.
- 3Perform child checks after each trip to maintain safety standards.
- 4Follow company policies for pupil management and communication with parents and schools.
- 5Verify route sheets and note changes with written documentation.
- 6Provide safe riding instruction and conduct evacuation drills as needed.
- 7Report mechanical issues promptly and maintain clean vehicles through cleaning and refueling.
- 8Maintain accurate records and submit required reports.
Requirements8
- 1PA Driver’s License with CDL Passenger and School Bus Endorsement and Air Brake Endorsement.
- 2One year of school bus driving experience.
- 3Satisfactory driving history based on state motor vehicle records.
- 4Satisfactory criminal and child abuse history checks per Pennsylvania law.
- 5Pass and maintain annual physical exams and required immunizations.
- 6TB testing as mandated by the Pennsylvania Department of Education.
- 7Drug and alcohol testing participation and compliance.
- 8High school diploma or equivalent (preferred).
