Mobile Infusion RN, Texas PRN
Overview
You will own infusion therapy and blood transfusion services across skilled nursing and rehab facilities in South Texas, with all assignments scheduled and supplies provided. You'll join a mobile nursing team that values autonomy and predictable daytime hours. Texas RN license and 1+ year infusion experience required, with ACLS cross-training available for transfusions.
What You'll Do8
- 1Administer IV medications, hydration therapy, and specialty infusions at multiple facilities each day.
- 2Perform blood transfusions, with ACLS cross-training available to build competency.
- 3Monitor patient responses and manage infusion-related reactions, intervening as needed.
- 4Access and maintain PIVs, ports, and PICCs without line placement.
- 5Document every encounter using the mobile web platform, ensuring accurate records.
- 6Update providers and facility staff on patient progress and infusion outcomes.
- 7Educate patients and facility nursing staff on infusion protocols and care.
- 8Coordinate with the scheduling team to maintain a minimum of one set day weekly.
Requirements8
- 1Active Texas RN license in good standing.
- 21+ year IV or infusion experience is required.
- 3ER or ICU experience strongly preferred.
- 4Current BLS certification; ACLS preferred for transfusion cross-training.
- 5Valid driver's license and reliable personal vehicle for travel.
- 6Ability to travel between facilities across the South Texas region.
- 7Comfortable using mobile documentation tools and web platforms.
- 8Availability to work a minimum of one set day per week.
