Infusion Nurse, Ambulatory Infusion Suite
Overview
You will own direct patient care for complex infusion therapies in an ambulatory suite and home settings, managing a full caseload of 20+ patients monthly. You will work alongside pharmacists, prescribers, and dietitians in a 4-person care team, coordinating plans of treatment and patient education. Your clinical judgment drives therapy outcomes, and you will participate in a nurse on-call rotation to ensure continuous support. What You'll Do9
- 1Assess patients and develop care plans with the care team, adjusting therapy based on response at each encounter.
- 2Evaluate and educate patients and care partners to safely administer home infusion therapy, providing additional instruction as needed.
- 3Inspect home environments and identify interventions to ensure safety and appropriateness for prescribed care.
- 4Manage your schedule through the company platform, promptly communicating changes to the team.
- 5Coordinate patient care via the approved platform, ensuring seamless communication with all stakeholders.
- 6Document all patient encounters and care activities at the time of service, meeting regulatory standards.
- 7Participate in the nurse on-call rotation to guarantee 24/7 nursing support for customers.
- 8Submit plans of treatment (POT) and required clinical documents on time, adhering to state guidelines.
- 9Drive up to 1 hour to see patients in their homes, with mileage reimbursement and paid drive time.
Requirements7
- 1Current RN license by the state Board of Nursing, in good standing.
- 23+ years nursing experience with infusion therapy background preferred.
- 3Advanced certification (e.g., CRNI, ONS, IgRN) preferred.
- 4Experience in ICU and/or Cardiac Care preferred.
- 5Proficient with Microsoft Outlook and Microsoft Office Suite.
- 6Valid state driver’s license with no significant restrictions.
- 7Bachelor’s degree in nursing (BSN) from an accredited institution preferred.
