Mobile Crisis Clinician, Pediatric Behavioral Health & Community-Based Care
Overview
Crisis Clinician will provide rapid response screening and therapeutic intervention to youth and families in a community setting, supporting safety and short-term treatment plans. You will conduct risk assessments, collaborate with supervisors to determine level of care, and document care from intake to discharge. You’ll work within a collaborative team, across Lewes, Dover, or Newark, with potential after-hours on-call rotations.
What You'll Do10
- 1Build risk assessments and crisis intervention plans to ensure safety for youth and families
- 2Design trauma‑informed crisis interventions to address emotion regulation and safety planning
- 3Lead therapeutic recommendations and referrals for assessments and follow‑up services
- 4Deliver short‑term crisis counseling for up to 30 days and document progress in patient records
- 5Own communication with the DPBHS team and stakeholders to maintain a systems‑based approach
- 6Scale documentation practices to ensure complete, accurate, and timely records
- 7Ship crisis plans and interventions that reduce risk and stabilize families within community settings
- 8Drive collaboration across clinical teams and after-hours on-call rotation
- 9Provide compassionate, professional interactions with clients, families, and community partners
- 10Support organizational mission and ethics through consistent, quality service delivery
Requirements5
- 1Bachelor's degree in a Human Services field from an accredited school
- 2Valid driver’s license and satisfactory driving record
- 3Ability to travel to client locations and operate in community-based settings
- 4Experience or training in suicide risk prevention and intervention (preferred)
- 5Commitment to trauma‑informed care and ethical professional standards
