What You'll Do11
- 1Program and operate CNC machining centers to produce precision mold components
- 2Develop machining strategies using CAM software to maximize efficiency and part quality
- 3Read and interpret engineering drawings and GD&T specifications
- 4Select appropriate tooling and cutting parameters for various materials
- 5Verify dimensions using precision measurement equipment
- 6Edit CNC programs to improve performance and maintain accuracy
- 7Machine hardened tool steels and other common mold construction materials
- 8Perform routine machine maintenance and ensure equipment reliability
- 9Collaborate with mold makers and engineering personnel on new designs and repairs
- 10Document programming revisions and inspection results
- 11Maintain a clean and safe work environment
Requirements10
- 1High school diploma or GED required
- 2Technical degree or certificate in machining or related field preferred
- 3Three or more years of CNC programming and machining experience
- 4Proficiency with CAM software such as NX or SolidWorks
- 5Strong ability to read blueprints and CAD models
- 6Experience machining hardened tool steels
- 7Understanding of G-code programming and CNC controls
- 8Problem-solving and organizational skills
- 9Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- 10Physical stamina for standing and moving within the facility
