MEP Superintendent, Mission-Critical Construction
Overview
You will own daily site operations for large-scale, mission-critical construction projects, from groundbreaking through commissioning and handoff. You coordinate trades, subcontractors, general contractors, and union representatives simultaneously. Your team relies on your boots-to-the-ground leadership to enforce safety, quality, and aggressive schedules. This role targets 5+ years leading on-site construction with OSHA, NFPA, and NEC compliance. It stands apart through exposure to hyperscale data centers and liquid cooling systems.
What You'll Do8
- 1Lead daily site operations for large-scale, mission-critical construction, coordinating trades and subcontractors on OSHA-compliant sites.
- 2Own scheduling and enforcement of aggressive delivery milestones, driving progress for all stakeholders.
- 3Read and interpret structural, mechanical, and electrical drawings, specs, and RFIs, resolving field issues in real time.
- 4Manage site logistics, including materials, equipment, and deliveries, for seamless workflow.
- 5Coordinate with general contractors, owners, and union representatives to align project goals.
- 6Enforce quality standards and safety protocols, including NFPA and NEC requirements.
- 7Report progress internally and externally, ensuring transparent project communication.
- 8Support commissioning activities for mission-critical facilities.
Requirements8
- 15+ years leading on-site construction for large-scale, mission-critical infrastructure projects.
- 2Proven ability to manage multiple subcontractors while coordinating with general contractors, owners, and union representatives.
- 3Strong working knowledge of building codes, safety regulations, and industry standards, including OSHA, NFPA, and NEC.
- 4Ability to read and apply structural, mechanical, and electrical drawings, specifications, submittals, and RFIs.
- 5Experience managing project schedules, site logistics, material deliveries, equipment coordination, and daily field operations.
- 6Preferred: Experience with hyperscale data center construction exceeding 50 MW and $100 million.
- 7Preferred: Knowledge of liquid cooling systems and high-density power infrastructure.
- 8Preferred: Experience overseeing or coordinating commissioning for mission-critical facilities.
Salary Insight
