Mental Health Therapist for High Risk Youth Bilingual Spanish
Overview
The clinician will provide community based trauma informed psychotherapy and intensive clinical case management to Spanish speaking youth at risk of or who have experienced exploitation. Work includes crisis intervention, safety planning, and transition to adulthood support within a telehealth and in person hybrid model within a 90 mile radius. Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to deliver wraparound services and coordinate with partner agencies.
What You'll Do10
- 1Build and deliver trauma informed psychotherapy and intensive clinical case management in English and Spanish to high risk youth
- 2Design crisis intervention plans, risk assessments and safety plans to stabilize youth
- 3Lead coordination with schools, housing, medical, and social services to address needs and secure placements
- 4Ship and document treatment progress and outcomes in client records and case conferences
- 5Partner with a multidisciplinary team to ensure continuity of care and rightsized supports
- 6Provide stabilization services during in person shifts for Alameda County foster youth awaiting foster placements
- 7Develop transition to adulthood plans and facilitate engagement in mental health services
- 8Drive telehealth sessions and in person visits within the 90 mile radius of Oakland
- 9Coordinate with community resources to support housing, employment and education goals
- 10Contribute to program quality through supervision and professional development opportunities
Requirements10
- 1Master's or Doctoral degree in psychology, counseling, social work or related field
- 2Current and valid license or registration with the CA BBS or BOP
- 3Bilingual in English and Spanish with written and spoken proficiency
- 41-2 years of direct clinical experience with transition age, high-risk, and system involved youth in community based settings
- 5C-Change Clinician candidates require specific experience with CSEC youth
- 6Knowledge of Alameda County resources for TAY youth
- 7Clinical skills in assessment, crisis intervention and treatment planning
- 8Trauma informed relational approach to working with youth
- 9Ability to travel within 90 mile radius and provide documentation in a timely manner
- 10Clean CA DMV record and current vehicle insurance for driving duties
