Mental Health Clinician AMFT ASW APCC San Diego
Overview
You will own clinical services for clients in San Diego, delivering assessments, therapy, and crisis intervention across a full continuum of care. You'll join a multidisciplinary team at TURN, a mission-driven nonprofit focused on people, culture, and growth, and collaborate with physical health providers to ensure whole-person care. What You'll Do10
- 1Deliver assessments, mental health evaluations, and individual, family, and group therapy within the first 90 days.
- 2Develop and update treatment plans, engaging clients in goal setting and symptom management.
- 3Facilitate crisis intervention and discharge placement, coordinating with next-level care providers.
- 4Initiate referrals to medical, educational, social, vocational, and housing services to support program goals.
- 5Document all client interactions accurately and timely, meeting minimum billable requirements for direct services.
- 6Conduct pre-placement visits and provide transportation as needed for client placements.
- 7Participate in the on-call team and provide field-based services per program and client need.
- 8Maintain client confidentiality and advocate in the best interest of clients.
- 9Attend scheduled program meetings and prepare critical care issues for supervision.
- 10Collaborate with physical health providers to coordinate whole-person care.
Requirements9
- 1Master's degree in MFT, LCSW, or LPCC from an accredited program.
- 2CA BBS registration or license as an AMFT, ASW, or APCC required.
- 3Valid CA driver's license and current auto insurance per contract requirements.
- 41+ years providing mental health and/or substance use disorder services preferred.
- 5Cultural competency understanding required.
- 6Bilingual proficiency preferred.
- 7Knowledge of Microsoft Office and EHR software preferred.
- 8Ability to perform physical tasks including standing for long periods, sitting for long periods, moving between offices and clients, stooping/bending, and lifting/carrying heavy items.
- 9Ability to drive for light errands as part of duties.
