What You'll Do8
- 1Build a monthly activity calendar using Excel to track scheduling and resident participation.
- 2Lead daily programs, adapting on the fly to resident energy and interest levels.
- 3Coordinate event logistics, from setup to cleanup, using Microsoft Word for flyers and signage.
- 4Partner with nursing staff to tailor activities for residents with dementia using Microsoft Excel checklists.
- 5Drive resident participation by personally inviting and motivating individuals, noting preferences in Excel.
- 6Ship weekly communication to families and staff about upcoming events, using Outlook.
- 7Own the activity budget, tracking supplies and costs in Excel.
- 8Train volunteer helpers on activity procedures, ensuring smooth execution every time.
Requirements8
- 11-3 years experience in senior living or long-term care settings.
- 2Associate's Degree or equivalent from two-year college or technical school.
- 3Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.
- 4Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- 5Ability to inspire and motivate older adults, especially those with memory loss.
- 6Creative approach to program development, using art, music, and movement.
- 7Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail.
- 8Flexibility to work Tuesday-Saturday from 9am-5pm.
