Activities Assistant, Memory Care & Life Enrichment
Overview
You will own life enrichment activities for seniors in Harmony Trace Memory Care in Hilliard, OH, working 30 hours per week. You assist the Director in planning and executing all activities, recruit and supervise volunteers, and lead sessions on scheduled days. This part-time role sits within National Church Residences, the nation's largest affordable senior housing provider. The role stands out for its direct impact on residents' well-being and its flexible schedule with every other weekend off.
What You'll Do9
- 1Assist the Director of Life Enrichment in scheduling and developing life enrichment activities for memory care residents.
- 2Recruit, direct, and supervise all volunteers supporting activity programs.
- 3Lead activities on scheduled work days, ensuring resident engagement and safety.
- 4Act on behalf of the Director when they are absent from the facility.
- 5Coordinate with the care team to tailor activities to individual resident needs.
- 6Document resident participation and responses to activities.
- 7Maintain activity supplies and equipment, reporting any needs to the Director.
- 8Drive the facility van for community outings when a valid Driver's License is held.
- 9Ensure activities align with the National Church Residences mission of advancing senior care.
Requirements5
- 1Completed high school education or equivalent.
- 21-2 years working with the elderly.
- 3Working knowledge of Windows, Microsoft Office Suite, and the internet.
- 4Good communication, comprehension, and interpersonal skills.
- 5Driver's License preferred for possible future driving of the facility van.
