Overview

Arcadia at Limerick Pointe seeks an Activities Assistant in Memory Care. This role owns planning scheduling and conducting programs providing physical intellectual social emotional and spiritual opportunities for residents. What You'll Do21

  • 1Assist in planning scheduling and conducting programs providing physical intellectual social emotional and spiritual opportunities for residents.
  • 2Invite and encourage residents to participate in activities.
  • 3Assess plan and manage facilitation of a comprehensive activities program using team members and volunteers.
  • 4Attend community planned functions and coordinate events from start to finish.
  • 5Plan appropriate programs for holidays and special events.
  • 6Coordinate holiday decorations for the community.
  • 7Collaborate with other departments to ensure equipment and supplies availability for activities and events.
  • 8Plan coordinate and facilitate mixed groups.
  • 9Maintain activity areas in an orderly manner.
  • 10Oversee inventory of activity supplies games programs and craft services.
  • 11Oversee daily care of animals and plants within activities program and services.
  • 12Assist in preparing and organizing a calendar of events.
  • 13Post and distribute the calendar.
  • 14Distribute community newsletter.
  • 15Meet with new residents to introduce the program.
  • 16Assist Director in leadership of the wellness program.
  • 17Work with volunteer staff.
  • 18Address resident groups on subjects of common interest.
  • 19Document resident participation in activities.
  • 20Maintain resident common areas activity areas and workspace according to infection control procedures.
  • 21Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements13

  • 15+ years building ETL pipelines with Spark and Airflow
  • 23-5 seasons experience in assisted living personal care or long term care
  • 3Associate’s degree or equivalent from a two year college or technical school or six months to one year related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • 4One to three years’ experience preferred in senior population settings
  • 5Must demonstrate interest in working with senior population
  • 6Ability to interact courteously and friendly with guests residents and staff
  • 7Respond promptly to resident needs
  • 8Support organization goals and values
  • 9Balance team and individual responsibilities
  • 10Competent in organizational and time management skills
  • 11Ability to use software to design calendars and signs email and internet
  • 12Flexible schedule ability
  • 13Ability to work semi independently without direct supervision
