Overview
You will own front desk operations for a high-volume interventional pain practice in Pittsburgh, managing patient flow from check-in to check-out. You join a supportive medical team of physicians and nurses, serving as the first point of contact for patients. This role demands exceptional organization, attention to detail, and a compassionate approach to patient care. You'll handle scheduling, insurance verification, and patient payments while coordinating faxes and correspondence. Prior medical office experience is essential, and you'll work 40 hours per week with no evenings, weekends, or holidays.
What You'll Do7
- 1Greet patients and manage check-in and check-out, collecting co-pays and bill balances.
- 2Schedule patient appointments and coordinate incoming faxes and correspondence.
- 3Answer incoming calls with a professional and articulate phone voice.
- 4Verify patient insurance and update electronic medical records (EMR) accurately.
- 5Provide compassionate care, developing trust and rapport with patients.
- 6Collaborate with medical staff to ensure smooth office operations.
- 7Maintain discretion and good judgment in a visible front-desk role.
Requirements7
- 11+ years of customer service experience.
- 21+ years of medical terminology knowledge.
- 31+ years of computer skills, including EMR experience.
- 4Prior medical office secretary experience is mandatory.
- 5Excellent organizational and communication skills.
- 6Ability to pass child clearances, background check, and FBI fingerprinting.
- 7Full-time availability for a 40-hour work week.
