Front Desk Receptionist, Medical Office
Overview
You own the front desk for Premier Orthopaedic Associates, managing patient intake and records across 7 locations in the Philadelphia area. You ensure every chart is complete and verified before each visit, keeping operations smooth for physicians and staff. Your precision in insurance verification and document management prevents billing issues and keeps the clinic compliant. This role offers direct patient interaction and exposure to EMR systems in a fast-paced medical setting.
What You'll Do8
- 1Build patient charts prior to office visits, pulling together reports, referrals, and authorization requests.
- 2Manage check-in and check-out, capturing patient demographic and insurance details accurately.
- 3Uploard driver's licenses and insurance cards into patient charts using EMR software.
- 4Collect and document ROA payments, surgical deposits, and disability form fees before services are rendered.
- 5Verify patient eligibility for services to confirm coverage and reduce billing complications.
- 6Scan and attach medical assistant folder documents to patient records for complete tracking.
- 7Travel to all 7 locations as scheduled, ensuring coverage and consistent front desk support.
- 8Support administrative duties as needed, including appointment scheduling and patient inquiries.
Requirements8
- 1High School Diploma or equivalent education.
- 2Knowledge of Medical Insurance guidelines and eligibility requirements.
- 3Familiarity with EMR systems and medical terminology.
- 41+ year of medical office experience preferred.
- 5Ability to sit for extended periods and lift up to 30 lbs.
- 6Strong verbal communication and customer service skills.
- 7Detail-oriented with excellent time management and multitasking abilities.
- 8Willingness to travel to all listed locations.
Salary Insight
