The Medical Records Clerk will manage routine clerical tasks and medical chart workflows for a correctional healthcare facility with the Hillsborough County Jail in Tampa FL. This role supports the patient record lifecycle within an electronic health record system and contributes to accurate, accessible documentation. What You'll Do4
- 1Build and maintain orderly paper and digital records to ensure compliance and quick access
- 2Scan and file documents, retrieve medical charts, and upload records into the electronic health record within established SLAs
- 3Sort and distribute mail related to medical records and route to the appropriate teams
- 4Assist in maintaining accurate patient information and facilitate record requests while ensuring data integrity
Requirements5
- 1Must have a high school diploma or GED with 1 year of clerical experience in a healthcare setting preferred
- 2Must have computer skills including Microsoft Word and Excel and a minimum typing speed of 45 words per minute
- 3Demonstrated strong written and verbal communication skills and ability to adapt to challenging environments
- 4Ability to manage tasks in stressful situations and maintain confidentiality
