What You'll Do10

  • 1Greet patients and register them using established protocols to ensure accurate data capture
  • 2Assist patients with forms and documentation including insurance information and consent forms
  • 3Inform patients about medical office procedures and policies and ensure adherence to HIPAA guidelines
  • 4Maintain and manage patient records with attention to detail and confidentiality
  • 5Move patients through scheduled appointments and coordinate with clinical staff
  • 6Answer incoming calls, handle inquiries, and schedule appointments
  • 7Collect co-pays and deductibles and explain billing procedures
  • 8Schedule hospital admissions, tests, scans and outside appointments for patients
  • 9Maintain knowledge of medical terminology and procedures to support accurate data entry
  • 10Support administrative and clerical tasks and ensure smooth front desk operations

Requirements10

  • 1High school diploma or equivalent
  • 23 years of medical front desk experience
  • 3Knowledge of medical terminology, procedures and diagnosis
  • 4Knowledge of computer applications and relevant software
  • 5Working knowledge of healthcare insurance and billing processes
  • 6Strong professional communication and customer service skills
  • 7Attention to detail and ability to manage confidential information in compliance with HIPAA
  • 8Ability to organize work and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
  • 9Proficiency in scheduling and data entry
  • 10Demonstrated reliability and initiative in a team setting
