Medical Claim Negotiator
Overview
You will own negotiations with medical providers to secure the highest discounts on out-of-network claims, directly impacting client savings. Working on-site in Dallas, you will join a fast-growing health care cost containment team that specializes in workers compensation, non-subscribers, third party administrators, and maritime clients. Your work will combine medical bill review with direct provider outreach, and the role offers the potential to double your salary based on performance.
What You'll Do7
- 1Contact medical providers to negotiate the greatest discount or savings on out-of-network claims.
- 2Screen medical bills for negotiation opportunities and reach out to providers via fax and phone to obtain signed settlement agreements.
- 3Address provider disputes or issues promptly to maintain positive relationships.
- 4Monitor the In-Process Claims Report to meet each client's expected turnaround time.
- 5Contract with medical providers through cold calling and leveraging existing out-of-network claims.
- 6Generate bulk contracting opportunities with Individual Physician Associations and billing companies.
- 7Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient claim resolution.
Requirements8
- 11+ years in sales or negotiation roles.
- 2BA/BS Degree preferred.
- 3Proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel.
- 4Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- 5Excellent verbal communication skills.
- 6Ability to work independently and within a team.
- 7Creative problem-solving skills.
- 8Basic knowledge of medical bill review.
