Bilingual Reductions Specialist (English/Spanish)
Overview
You will own medical bill verification and negotiation for a NLJ500 law firm that has recovered $1B+ for clients. You will work in a 30-office network with 100+ attorneys, coordinating with insurers, providers, and clients daily. Your work ensures clients receive maximum compensation. This role demands sharp attention to detail and strong bilingual communication.
What You'll Do8
- 1Verify medical bills for accuracy and negotiate reductions with providers using Microsoft Excel.
- 2Handle inbound calls and resolve billing discrepancies with insurers and clients in English and Spanish.
- 3Sort and update medical documentation in Microsoft Outlook and internal case files.
- 4Create and distribute closing statements using Microsoft Word templates.
- 5Record payment details and update case status in the firm's case management system.
- 6Prepare and circulate daily reports on reduction outcomes to the legal team.
- 7File closures and send final payments to clients after approval.
- 8Perform general office clerk duties and support the legal staff as needed.
Requirements8
- 1High school diploma or GED required.
- 2Bilingual in English and Spanish (verbal and written).
- 31+ year verifying medical bills in a legal or healthcare setting.
- 4Strong customer service skills with a clear, professional phone presence.
- 5Proficient in Microsoft Office programs: Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- 6Ability to manage a heavy workload in a fast-paced environment.
- 7Excellent organizational skills and ability to multitask.
- 8Legal experience, including client interaction, is a plus.
