- 1Coordinate patient care under supervision of the health care provider
- 2Prepare and room patients according to standardized workflows
- 3Obtain vital signs and document patient information
- 4Administer depression screening tools
- 5Perform back office testing following approved protocols
- 6Assist providers with examinations and procedures
- 7Serve as a scribe with additional training
- 8Provide follow up with patients via telephone electronic or written methods
- 9Notify patients of test results in a timely manner
- 10Ensure adequate inventory of medical supplies
- 11Clean and sterilize instruments per AHN approved policy
Requirements5
- 1High school diploma or GED completion
- 2Medical Assistant certification within five years
- 3One year of medical assistant work experience within three years
- 4CPR certification from American Heart Association
- 5Valid criminal background clearance certificates
