What You'll Do11
- 1Coordinate patient care under provider supervision using a team-based approach
- 2Prepare and room patients following standardized clinical workflows
- 3Obtain vital signs document patient histories and administer depression screening tools
- 4Perform annual wellness visits and manage medication lists in the EHR
- 5Process orders for screenings prescriptions and follow-up care per AHN protocols
- 6Conduct back office testing and assist providers during examinations
- 7Serve as a scribe with additional training and provide patient follow-up communication
- 8Maintain clean instrument sterilization and perform lab controls per assignments
- 9Document accurately in the electronic health record and handle clerical duties
- 10Travel between physician locations as needed
- 11Ensure supply inventory meets established standards and sterilize instruments per guidelines
Requirements5
- 1High school diploma or medical assistant program completion within five years
- 2Certification such as NHA CPC or AAMA within 30 days of hire
- 3One year of MTA experience within three years for alternative certification path
- 4Associate's degree preferred
- 5Valid CPR and criminal background clearance certificates
