What You'll Do12
- 1Assist physicians during examinations and treatments under direct supervision
- 2Manage patient check-in registration and collect vital signs including pulse temperature blood pressure weight and height
- 3Draw blood specimens and prepare samples for laboratory analysis
- 4Prepare treatment rooms and maintain cleanliness standards
- 5Conduct point of care testing such as flu strep urinalysis and ECG procedures
- 6Maintain accurate patient records and update electronic health charts
- 7Process co-payments and schedule appointments according to clinic workflow
- 8Coordinate specialist referrals and communicate patient updates
- 9Answer patient inquiries and provide information about care processes
- 10Stock medical supplies and maintain examination room environments
- 11Handle correspondence and ensure reception quality
- 12Perform opening and closing duties including cash reconciliation and facility security
Requirements9
- 1High school diploma or equivalent with 1+ year medical assistant experience in hospital primary care emergency department or urgent care setting
- 2Certification options include CCMA CMA CMA-AA HRC or completion within 12 months
- 3Registered Medical Assistant credential required within two weeks of hire
- 4Basic Life Support certification obtained through ARC or AHA
- 5Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel with strong typing speed
- 6Detail-oriented professional with excellent written and verbal communication abilities
- 7Ability to work collaboratively in diverse teams with cultural sensitivity
- 8Graduate of accredited nursing program LPN LVN or registered nurse with state license
- 9Emergency Medical Technician or Paramedic certification verified through appropriate agencies
