Medical Assistant Healthcare for the Homeless
Overview
Certified Medical Assistant supporting pediatric adolescent adult and geriatric patients at Health Care for the Homeless in Baltimore. This is a full time onsite position offering competitive compensation and benefits.
What You'll Do5
- 1Perform clinical duties such as phlebotomy immunizations EKGs and nebulizer treatments
- 2Assist providers with patient preparation and documentation
- 3Maintain supply inventory and ensure clinic cleanliness
- 4Support workflow processes including instrument sterilization and lab processing
- 5Travel between agency clinics as needed
Requirements7
- 1High school diploma or GED and completion of a Medical Assistant Program
- 2Certified or registered Medical Assistant preferred (AAMA or equivalent)
- 3Active BLS CPR certification required
- 4One year of medical office experience preferred
- 5Experience with underserved or homeless populations strongly preferred
- 6Strong interpersonal organizational and communication skills
- 7Bilingual English Spanish preferred
