What You'll Do10
- 1Register patients and verify insurance and eligibility
- 2Room patients and prepare them for examination
- 3Record medical history and vital signs
- 4Perform point-of-care testing such as flu strep urinalysis and ECG
- 5Assist providers during patient visits and communicate patient needs
- 6Process co-pays and schedule follow-up appointments
- 7Maintain clean stocked and organized exam rooms and front desk areas
- 8Manage medical records documentation and patient communications
- 9Answer phones and respond to patient inquiries
- 10Support daily clinic operations including opening closing duties
Requirements8
- 1Medical Assistant certification is REQUIRED at time of hire
- 2Graduate of a Medical Assistant program
- 31+ year of Medical Assistant experience within the last 3 years
- 4Strong knowledge of medical terminology
- 5Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required at hire
- 6High school diploma or equivalent
- 7Preferred: Associate degree in Medical Assistant
- 8Preferred: Experience with EMR systems and Microsoft Office
