What You'll Do8
- 1Room patients and obtain vital signs, documenting medical histories in the electronic medical record system.
- 2Assist providers during patient visits, including setting up for procedures and handling instruments.
- 3Administer injections and medications under provider direction, following CPR and safety protocols.
- 4Coordinate patient care by scheduling referrals, tests, and follow-up appointments in Microsoft Outlook and the practice management system.
- 5Deliver patient service with empathy, addressing questions and ensuring comfort during visits.
- 6Maintain exam rooms, restocking supplies and ensuring equipment is ready for each patient.
- 7Document patient interactions accurately and promptly in the EMR to support continuity of care.
- 8Support front-office staff with check-in and check-out processes when needed.
Requirements8
- 1High School Diploma or GED required.
- 2Medical Assistant training from an accredited school.
- 3Certification from NHA or AAMA, or obtain within 6 months of hire.
- 4CPR certification required and maintained.
- 5Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, practice management systems, and electronic medical record systems.
- 6Ability to lift and carry items up to 100 pounds and handle physical demands of patient care.
- 7Comfort with exposure to bodily fluids and clinical environment conditions.
- 8Strong communication and organizational skills.
