What You'll Do8
- 1Escort patients to exam rooms and verify identification per HIPAA guidelines.
- 2Measure and document vital signs, medical history, and clinical quality measures.
- 3Assist physicians with examinations and diagnostic procedures, including EKG and venipuncture.
- 4Administer injections as ordered, following safe practices and scope of practice.
- 5Maintain clinical supply inventory and order supplies to meet patient care needs.
- 6Use information technology systems for documentation within established scope.
- 7Coordinate patient flow to minimize wait times and ensure satisfaction.
- 8Perform front-office duties as needed, including scheduling and patient communication.
Requirements8
- 1HS Diploma or equivalent required.
- 2Medical Assistant certification obtained within 6 months of hire.
- 3BLS certification through American Heart Association within 90 days of hire (American Red Cross accepted at some PA locations).
- 41+ years experience in a physician office or healthcare setting preferred.
- 5Knowledge of medical terminology and office procedures.
- 6Ability to lift 25 lbs and perform physical tasks including bending and kneeling.
- 7Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- 8For NJ: graduate of accredited program with 330 hours instruction including injection training.
