Medical Assistant, Cancer Care (Onsite)
Overview
medical assistant role supporting front and back office in cancer care teams. You will escort patients, prepare exam rooms, and handle data entry, scheduling, and basic lab tasks. What You'll Do7
- 1Build patient rooms and prep for examination to enable efficient visits
- 2Escort patients to exam rooms and document chief complaints and vital signs
- 3Perform venipuncture, CLIA waivered tests, injections, TB testing, and other procedures under physician supervision
- 4Handle front desk tasks including reception, scheduling, phone calls, and message management
- 5Coordinate with insurance for authorizations and referrals and relay information to providers
- 6Travel to offsite locations for diagnostic testing and assist in examinations
- 7Support case management referrals and assist in patient communications to improve satisfaction
Requirements7
- 1High School Diploma or GED Required
- 26 months experience as a Medical Assistant Preferred
- 3Completion of an MA training program or certification through a recognized organization
- 4Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification Required
- 5Fingerprint Clearance Card (FPC) Certification Required
- 6Certified Medical Assistant CMA/CCMA/RMA preferred
- 7Arizona medical board competency adherence and related training program completion
