The Medical Assistant supports front and back office operations for the Cancer Care-East Mesa team at HonorHealth, serving patients in a high-volume oncology setting. What You'll Do5
- 1Build patient flow by preparing exam rooms and escorting patients to exam rooms
- 2Assist clinicians during exams and procedures and document patient histories
- 3Perform venipuncture and basic CLIA waived lab tests and TB testing
- 4Manage front office duties including scheduling, phone triage, and insurance authorizations
- 5Support off-site testing and coordinate referrals and case management to enhance patient access
Requirements6
- 1High School Diploma or GED Required
- 2Completion of an approved MA training program or equivalent
- 36 months experience as a Medical Assistant preferred
- 4Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification Required
- 5Fingerprint Clearance Card (FPC) Required or within seven days after employment
- 6Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) Certification required or CMA/CCMA/RMA eligible preferred
