Overview
Join our team at cCare Cancer Center to provide compassionate care as a Medical Assistant. You will directly impact patient health and comfort while supporting over 100 providers across 50 sites. This full-time role offers competitive pay between $23.00 and $25.30 per hour.
What You'll Do12
- 1Rooms patients and accurately collects and records medical history including vital statistics allergies and medications
- 2Prepares treatment rooms stocks supplies and maintains equipment keeping spaces clean
- 3Assists with bone marrow biopsies following provider directions
- 4Handles scheduling routine appointments and checkouts
- 5Prepares bone marrow specific procedures and anticipates provider needs
- 6Addresses patients with compassionate friendly and caring attitudes
- 7Maintains medication knowledge and updates with industry trends
- 8Prepares and administers medications according to cCARE policies
- 9Requests insurance authorizations and schedules STAT procedures such as blood transfusions and thoracentesis
- 10Documents receipts and completes disability forms promptly
- 11Supports E-Prescribing and physician dispensing processes
- 12Triage phone calls and relay information to staff and providers efficiently
Requirements5
- 1Diploma required from a recognized Medical Assistant program
- 2Current CPR and BLS certification
- 3Fluent Spanish language skills highly preferred
- 4Minimum 5 years of medical assistant experience
- 5Experience within 3-5 seasons preferred
