Mechanical Solutions Engineer - Oil & Gas Manufacturing
Overview
You will own engineering workflows, product configuration, and cross-functional problem-solving at Welker, a family-owned manufacturer with 70+ years in oil and gas. You will drive ECNs, BOM accuracy, and compliance documentation, working closely with Engineering, Operations, and Supply Chain. With 3D CAD and ERP systems at your fingertips, you will translate customer specs into buildable solutions. What You'll Do10
- 1Analyze customer specifications and develop solutions that meet requirements and industry standards, using CAD and ERP tools.
- 2Manage engineering workflows and Engineering Change Notices, including updates to BOMs, routings, and drawings.
- 3Review engineering work orders to ensure correct documentation and revision control.
- 4Partner with Operations and Supply Chain to resolve production and material issues.
- 5Perform engineering calculations and product safety evaluations.
- 6Support acquisition and maintenance of product certifications and compliance documentation.
- 7Monitor and update engineering data within ERP and related business systems.
- 8Investigate customer inquiries and internal issues, providing timely resolutions.
- 9Support ongoing engineering solutions projects and continuous improvement initiatives.
- 10Collaborate across departments to provide technical expertise and engineering support.
Requirements10
- 1Bachelor's degree in Engineering from an ABET-accredited university, Mechanical Engineering preferred.
- 22+ years of engineering experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
- 3Experience with ERP systems and engineering change management processes.
- 4Working knowledge of SolidWorks or similar CAD software.
- 5Familiarity with technical drawings, BOMs, routings, and revision control.
- 6Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- 7Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Excel.
- 8Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- 9Ability to manage multiple priorities and projects in a production environment.
- 10Must be authorized to work in the U.S. and pass drug screen, physical, and background check.
Salary Insight
$70 - $100k per year
