Mechanical Installer, Tools & Installation Experience
Overview
Mechanical installer role owning end-to-end on site installations for commercial dishwashing equipment in Indianapolis. You will measure, assemble, connect, adjust, and secure equipment, train restaurant staff, and troubleshoot during and after installation. You’ll work with mechanical, plumbing, and basic electrical components, often in varied customer environments. This role emphasizes hands-on problem solving and independent ownership to deliver finished installations on first visit.
What You'll Do10
- 1Build and complete equipment installations from start to finish
- 2Measure, assemble, connect, adjust, and secure equipment
- 3Use hand and power tools daily to install and troubleshoot
- 4Work with mechanical, plumbing, and basic electrical components
- 5Troubleshoot installation issues and test systems before handoff to customers
- 6Ship independent installations and own customer outcomes
- 7Communicate directly with customers and demonstrate operation and care to staff
- 8Diagnose problems on site and implement durable solutions
- 9Coordinate with team for larger installations and conveyors as needed
- 10Document installation details and customer handoffs for quality assurance
Requirements10
- 1Previous professional hands-on installation or trade experience
- 2Comfortable using hand and power tools independently
- 3Mechanical troubleshooting and problem solving ability
- 4Valid driver's license held for at least 3 years
- 5Ability to lift and maneuver equipment weighing up to 75 lbs
- 6Comfortable working directly with customers
- 7Able to learn new equipment quickly and work independently
- 8Experience with mechanical, repair, maintenance, or field service roles
- 9Experience with appliance installation, HVAC, plumbing, or carpentry is a plus
- 10Willingness to work Monday–Friday 7:00 AM–4:00 PM and participate in on-call rotation
Salary Insight
$56 - $65k per year
