Overview
We seek a Mechanical Engineer with extensive experience leading HVAC design and construction projects in Minneapolis. The role involves designing ductwork piping and equipment selection while collaborating with multidisciplinary teams. Candidates must demonstrate expertise in energy modeling Revit/BIM modeling and project management.
What You'll Do9
- 1Perform and direct design of ductwork piping and equipment selection for HVAC systems independently
- 2Calculate heating cooling loads layout design ductwork and piping using energy modeling software
- 3Prepare Revit/BIM modeling of construction drawings from schematic design to construction administration
- 4Specify mechanical equipment such as boilers chillers and air handling units
- 5Review shop drawings for compliance with specifications and contract documents
- 6Interface effectively with clients and project teams attending OAC meetings and responding to RFIs
- 7Conduct job site visits to verify existing conditions and observe construction progress
- 8Coordinate work activities across diverse team members and participate in business development
- 9Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements12
- 1Bachelor or Master's degree in Engineering required
- 2Minimum of 6 years related experience required
- 3Current PE in the United States preferred
- 4LEED accreditation preferred
- 5Working knowledge of Revit Trane Trace or Trane 3D Plus required
- 6Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- 7Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously
- 8Strong technical background in mechanical systems design
- 9Proficiency in computer applications for engineering design programs
- 10Commitment to Living-Centered Design principles
- 11Experience with plumbing and fire protection designs
- 12Familiarity with energy modeling software and BIM modeling techniques
