Overview

We seek an experienced Mechanical Engineer II to lead design analysis and development of mechanical systems for electronic products. This mid-level role supports integrated product teams throughout the full product lifecycle. The ideal candidate works independently while collaborating closely with cross-functional teams. You will apply thermal principles to solve real-world engineering challenges.

What You'll Do11

  • 1Design mechanical parts enclosures and assemblies using SolidWorks or similar CAD tools
  • 2Lead thermal analysis efforts for electronic hardware focusing on heat dissipation and airflow
  • 3Perform and interpret thermal and structural evaluations through simulation and testing
  • 4Apply conduction convection and radiation principles to improve system performance and reliability
  • 5Collaborate with electrical engineers to ensure PCB integration mechanical fit and thermal performance
  • 6Support prototype builds design verification testing and design reviews
  • 7Develop and maintain 3D models 2D drawings and Bills of Materials
  • 8Provide technical input on materials selection manufacturability and design trade-offs
  • 9Contribute to system-level design decisions and mentor junior engineers
  • 10Create and document technical specifications for electronic hardware
  • 11Analyze convection and radiation effects in electronic systems

Requirements12

  • 1Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline
  • 25–10 years relevant mechanical engineering experience
  • 3Hands-on experience with thermal engineering for electronic systems
  • 4Strong background in mechanical design and product development
  • 5Proficiency with SolidWorks or equivalent 3D CAD software
  • 6Solid understanding of heat transfer principles including conduction convection and radiation
  • 7Effective written and verbal communication skills
  • 8Ability to work effectively in collaborative team-based engineering environment
  • 9Preferred: Experience using ANSYS or similar analysis tools
  • 10Background in Computational Fluid Dynamics
  • 11Familiarity with electronics packaging and PCB mechanical integration
  • 12Experience supporting prototyping lab testing and environmental testing
