CloudHQ seeks a Mechanical Commissioning Manager to lead data center project execution in Chicago. This leader will ensure mechanical systems meet operational excellence through oversight of installation and testing across global sites. What You'll Do20
- 1Monitor and maintain data center project tasks tracking budget schedule and scope
- 2Liaise between client and internal team documenting basis of design as main point of contact
- 3Review all written work submitted to client
- 4Assist development of commissioning plan encompassing construction phases
- 5Conduct pre‑construction commissioning process meetings
- 6Attend construction progress meetings to obtain information on progress
- 7Review construction progress meeting minutes for revisions related to design intent
- 8Assist resolve discrepancies and integrate changes driven by owner
- 9Complete thorough design document review at end of construction phase
- 10Work with internal team driving design changes as required
- 11Assist develop full commissioning specifications for all commissioned equipment
- 12Inspect installation and witness functional testing on site
- 13Coordinate with primary IT liaison for control systems issues
- 14Observe and oversee execution of commissioning tests to verify proper installation
- 15Assist develop commissioning test procedures to validate mechanical system performance
- 16Perform readiness reviews of assigned projects to inform building acceptance
- 17Validate and attend training of operation team personnel
- 18Review final third‑party commissioning process report
- 19Travel to sites and client meetings as required
- 20Schedule factory acceptance/factory witness tests with development staff
Requirements13
- 15+ years building ETL pipelines with Spark and Airflow
- 27+ years experience in electrical commissioning preferring data center projects
- 3General understanding of data center systems and electrical building systems
- 4Knowledge of design and local codes including NEC NFPA IEEE and ASHRAE
- 5Strong business acumen and meticulous attention to detail
- 6Professional verbal and written communication skills
- 7Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
- 8Expertise in commissioning software and tools
- 9Exceptional organizational skills and ability to multitask
- 10Assertive personality with strong work ethic and self‑motivation
- 11Ability to maintain relationships with contractors clients and internal departments
- 12Willingness to travel and work overtime as needed
- 13Availability for emergency communications outside regular hours
