Overview

You will build chambers and other mechanical final assemblies to spec in our Assembly & Test Department. Your hands-on mechanical background and blueprint reading turn drawings into tested, inspection-ready hardware. You partner with engineering, production, and quality to solve fit-up issues and meet exacting customer standards. This role calls for precision, accountability, and a clear focus on clean work. You'll own the final stages of complex mechanical systems at a precision machining leader.

What You'll Do8

  • 1Build chambers and mechanical final assemblies per engineering drawings and specifications.
  • 2Install and extract Helicoils to repair or reinforce threads in components.
  • 3Troubleshoot assembly challenges and implement fixes with engineering and production.
  • 4Execute final cleaning per customer-defined procedures to an inspection-ready standard.
  • 5Inspect in-process work for compliance with specs and report any component damage.
  • 6Verify completion of all assembly, finishing, and test steps before final sign-off.
  • 7Coordinate with engineering, production, and quality teams to achieve customer expectations.
  • 8Use hand tools and measuring instruments to fit, align, and verify assemblies.

Requirements9

  • 1High School Graduate or GED.
  • 23-5 years in mechanical assembly or related hands-on work (cars, trucks, small engines, or body work).
  • 3Ability to read and interpret customer engineering specifications and drawings.
  • 4Proficient in written and spoken English.
  • 5Solid mechanical aptitude with hand tools and blueprint reading.
  • 6Apply plane/solid geometry and basic trigonometry, plus fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions.
  • 7Identify problems, collect data, and draw sound conclusions from written, oral, or diagrammatic instructions.
  • 8Frequently lift and/or move up to 50 lbs and stand/walk for extended periods.
  • 9Vision includes close focus, depth perception, color recognition, and adjustment.
