What You'll Do13
- 1Works under Store Manager and Assistant Store Manager
- 2Uses knives and power equipment to cut and package authorized beef pork and poultry items per Save-A-Lot policies
- 3Wraps weighs and prices meat while labeling packages according to COOL USDA and Save-A-Lot standards
- 4Ensures displays and case signs are updated appropriately and merchandise maximizes sales
- 5May assist with product ordering
- 6Maintains proper date rotation for dated and undated products per Save-A-Lot policy
- 7Prepares and places meat cuts attractively on display counter
- 8Receives inspects and stores meat upon delivery maintaining cold chain and quality
- 9Ensures sanitation and quality standards per Save-A-Lot policy
- 10Follows all SAVE-LOT policies including COOL Food Safety Sanitation Meat Produce Scale operation Mark Downs Inventory Processes Meat POGs Meat Cutter Resource Manual Daily Manager Signoff and Meat Cutting List
- 11Performs additional perishable and non-perishable duties necessary for optimal store performance
- 12Protects company property funds and merchandise
- 13May work in multiple stores
Requirements11
- 118 years of age
- 2High School diploma or equivalent
- 3Completed Save-A-Lot Meat Cutter Training Program within 3 months
- 4Previous meat cutting experience using hand tools and power equipment
- 5Effective oral and written communication skills
- 6Excellent customer service skills
- 7Dependable and flexible
- 8Adheres to uniform dress code
- 9Physical ability to lift and transport up to 100 lbs
- 10Ability to stand walk and move for extended periods
- 11Stamina for sawing motions
