Overview
Store Associate reporting directly to Store Manager overseeing daily operations and staff. Responsible for cashiering stocking cleaning and monitoring perishables while ensuring customer satisfaction and adherence to Save-A-Lot policies.
What You'll Do19
- 1Open and close store according to established procedures
- 2Direct and monitor activities of full time part time team members
- 3Communicate with customers courteously
- 4Resolve customer complaints through exchanges and refunds
- 5Document complaints and take follow up steps
- 6Conduct front end administrative procedures including cash counting till preparation and sales of gift cards
- 7Complete electronic store reports and perform bag/video checks
- 8Perform cashier duties when needed
- 9Escalate employee issues to Store Manager or District Manager
- 10Respond promptly to vendor deliveries
- 11Stock within all departments
- 12Ensure compliance with health and safety standards
- 13Handle emergency management evacuation procedures
- 14Protect company property funds and merchandise
- 15Follow loss prevention procedures daily
- 16Maintain store sanitation and complete sweep logs
- 17Serve as first contact for media and regulatory visitors
- 18Participate in panel interviews without decision authority
- 19Work in other departments as assigned
Requirements12
- 1Must be 18 years of age
- 2High school diploma or equivalent required
- 3Comprehensive product knowledge and ability to train others
- 4Previous training or supervisory experience a plus
- 5Strong attendance work performance safety policy compliance
- 6Proficiency in basic math skills addition subtraction multiplication division
- 7Ability to read write and speak in English
- 8Excellent oral and written communication interpersonal skills
- 9Language proficiency in Spanish or other languages is a plus
- 10Dependable flexible ability to travel to multiple locations
- 11Strong customer service teamwork and problem solving abilities
- 12Adherence to uniform dress code
