Material Planner II, Integrated Supply Chain & MRP
Overview
You will own the Bill of Material (BOM) planning and execution for assigned programs at BAE Systems, managing the MRP system from engineering need through material readiness. You will serve as the key link between engineering, manufacturing, and supply chain, driving compliance and mitigating risks. With a focus on data-based decisions and proactive exception management, you will ensure material visibility and schedule alignment. What You'll Do10
- 1Build and maintain program relationships with agreed expectations, providing leadership on material baseline and execution.
- 2Manage demand within the Work Breakdown Structure (WBS), coordinating with Project Controls Analysts on product structure hierarchy.
- 3Set up and validate product structure maturity, making parts executable through effective use of manufacturing tools and interfaces.
- 4Drive compliance by documenting and validating system output against program requirements.
- 5Communicate and resolve exceptions, including part substitutions, planning breaks, and non-conformances.
- 6Provide material procurement visibility and production schedule analysis to program staff.
- 7Mitigate program risks by identifying material-related issues and recommending data-driven solutions.
- 8Support new business proposals by estimating material costs and providing remaining cost forecasts.
- 9Maintain regular attendance and foster positive working relationships across departments, Strategic Business Units, and Company.
- 10Perform other duties as assigned to support program success.
Requirements6
- 12+ years of related experience with a Bachelor's degree, or equivalent technical experience in lieu of education.
- 2Excellent communication and presentation skills for cross-functional collaboration.
- 3Hands-on experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and MS Project).
- 4Demonstrated leadership in managing multiple projects from inception to completion.
- 5Ability to adhere to internal and external compliance regulations.
- 6Willing and eligible to obtain a security clearance or access as required by program.

$67 - $115k per year
