Material Planner II
Overview
The Material Planner II analyzes customer forecasts and places purchase orders to ensure manufacturing receives the right parts at the right time. This role manages component inventory levels and coordinates expedites to meet daily schedules. It involves escalating supplier issues and responding to part shortages with resolution plans. The position requires releasing purchase orders on lead times and rescheduling due dates based on demand fluctuations. Continuous monitoring of open purchase orders ensures on-time delivery while maintaining supplier relationships. Proactive reviews of part setups and collaboration with the purchasing team guarantee accurate ordering and smooth interplant movement.
What You'll Do11
- 1Develop understanding of suppliers and their processes to manage supply chain logistics and shipping
- 2Escalate and mitigate potential disruptions to manufacturing operations
- 3Respond to part shortages with timely updates and resolution timelines
- 4Release purchase orders at lead times and adjust due dates according to demand changes
- 5Monitor open purchase orders to ensure timely delivery and follow up on overdue items
- 6Review part setups within the system to ensure proper ordering and interplant movement
- 7Maintain strong relationships with the supply base aligned with commodity team standards
- 8Engage receiving teams to resolve delivery issues such as paperwork discrepancies and damaged shipments
- 9Collaborate with Accounts Payable to resolve invoice discrepancies and ensure timely payments
- 10Utilize planning tools and ERP systems to manage inventory effectively
- 11Other duties as assigned
Requirements6
- 15+ years building ETL pipelines with Spark and Airflow
- 23-5 seasons leading cross-functional projects
- 3Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Engineering or Business
- 4Proficiency in Microsoft Office
- 55+ years experience with data tools
- 6Ability to support occasional activities outside normal business hours
