Overview
The Buyer Planner II – CM leads the Master Production Schedule for contract manufacturing product lines in a multi-plant environment. This role monitors customer demand and forecasts, purchases materials, and coordinates finished goods delivery. It emphasizes ownership of supply chain processes and collaboration across functional teams.
What You'll Do20
- 1Update forecasts for assigned item codes monthly
- 2Revise supplier purchasing schedules based on forecast data
- 3Review open customer orders weekly using MRP
- 4Develop delivery schedules aligned with inventory and demand
- 5Create and audit planning attributes in Oracle Fusion
- 6Communicate directly with suppliers to align supply with demand
- 7Monitor back-order status via published reports
- 8Execute purchase orders promptly
- 9Track delivery status and prepare priority lists for supplier conferences
- 10Organize wire payments for Accounts Payable
- 11Audit shipments for accuracy before logging to SharePoint
- 12Review and code invoices to identify discrepancies
- 13Participate in cross-functional product development meetings
- 14Work with Contract Manufacturing to ensure on-time product launches
- 15Audit ocean and hold locations for inventory errors
- 16Update the Inventory Quality Ratio annually
- 17Advise on cycle count activities for components
- 18Collaborate with Inventory Control Supervisor to fix errors
- 19Monitor product obsolescence and update ERP data
- 20Lead efforts to maintain high customer satisfaction
Requirements11
- 15+ years building ETL pipelines with Spark and Airflow
- 23-5 seasons managing buyer planner roles in contract manufacturing
- 3Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required
- 4APICS certification preferred
- 5Minimum two years of Buyer-Planner experience in contract manufacturing
- 6Intermediate computer skills in JD Edwards and Microsoft Office
- 7Strong negotiation abilities to resolve scheduling conflicts
- 8Project management experience with strategic implementation
- 9Supply chain management expertise for demand-supply matching
- 10Manufacturing product knowledge including commodity management
- 11Formal project leadership demonstrated in previous roles
