Marine Service Technician - Expert Engine Repair & Maintenance
Overview
Lead a dedicated team to deliver exceptional marine service solutions across diverse vessel types. You will own diagnostics and repairs for engines propulsion systems steering systems electrical components and onboard amenities. Our goal is to ensure operational excellence while maintaining the highest safety standards.
What You'll Do10
- 1Inspect diagnose and repair inboard and outboard engines diesel propulsion systems and other mechanical components
- 2Perform routine maintenance tasks such as oil changes tune-ups and fuel system servicing
- 3Install troubleshoot and repair hauling and launching equipment using forklifts and trailers
- 4Conduct hull inspections and execute minor fiberglass or gel coat repairs
- 5Complete work orders and service reports accurately and promptly
- 6Maintain a clean safe work environment following all safety protocols
- 7Communicate effectively with customers regarding service needs and updates
- 8Stay current with marine technology repair techniques and product information
- 9Lift heavy objects operate power tools and navigate confined spaces safely
- 10Drive vehicles and operate boats as required for site visits
Requirements6
- 1High school diploma or equivalent with technical certification preferred
- 22+ years of marine service or mechanical repair experience
- 3Strong knowledge of gasoline and diesel engine systems electrical systems and boat construction
- 4Ability to read schematics use diagnostic tools and interpret technical documentation
- 5Valid driver’s license and willingness to operate boats and trailers
- 6Excellent problem solving skills attention to detail and professional communication abilities
