Manufacturing Materials Planner, ERP & Power Systems
Overview
A highly analytical Materials Planner will align material availability with production schedules across fabrication, assembly, electrical integration, and final build. This role collaborates with Procurement, Production Control, and Operations to ensure timely material readiness and minimize shortages. You will work within a cross functional team to support new product launches, engineering changes, and production ramp activities. The position emphasizes data driven decision making and continuous improvement to optimize material flow and inventory accuracy.
What You'll Do8
- 1Build material plans aligned with production demand to keep fabrication and assembly on schedule
- 2Monitor BOM requirements and inventory levels to identify shortages and supply risks
- 3Coordinate with Procurement, Production Control, and Operations to resolve material constraints
- 4Support material readiness for new product launches and engineering changes
- 5Analyze demand signals and production forecasts to validate planning recommendations
- 6Drive improvements in material flow, inventory turns, and cycle count reconciliation
- 7Build reports and dashboards to provide operational visibility and KPI tracking
- 8Participate in daily planning reviews and cross functional meetings
Requirements5
- 1Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, business, operations, analytics, engineering, or related field
- 23–7+ years of experience in Materials Planning or Production Planning
- 3Strong ERP experience (SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, Epicor, or similar)
- 4Advanced Microsoft Excel skills including pivot tables and lookups
- 5Experience in manufacturing, industrial, or engineered product environments
Salary Insight
$75 - $113k per year
