Owns and optimizes production expediting at scale within EMI's manufacturing environment. You will align across departments, vendors, and project managers to meet delivery timelines and quality standards. You will join a collaborative team focused on reducing costs and boosting productivity while maintaining compliance. This role offers exposure to complex steel infrastructure fabrication across telecom, railroad, oil & gas, and wastewater sectors.

What You'll Do10

  • 1Build and manage supply commitments with vendors to meet project delivery dates and quality standards
  • 2Design and maintain production schedules for ongoing projects to minimize delays and cost growth
  • 3Lead departmental coordination to ensure materials are assigned efficiently and shipments meet requirements
  • 4Drive timely project updates to Project Managers and stakeholders on delivery timelines and progress
  • 5Ship and expedite materials using MRP systems and transport tools to prevent bottlenecks
  • 6Own non-conformance reporting and corrective actions to maintain quality
  • 7Scale materials flow and routing within the facility using appropriate material handling equipment
  • 8Debug and resolve shortages by coordinating procurement, logistics, and internal teams
  • 9Maintain accurate records of goods received and material movements for traceability
  • 10Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance productivity and reduce waste

Requirements10

  • 1High School Diploma or GED required
  • 2Five (5) plus years’ experience in production planning, procurement and in a manufacturing environment
  • 3PMP certification a plus
  • 4Sage 50 experience a plus
  • 5Experience using MRP systems to update schedules and manage deliveries
  • 6Ability to monitor inventory levels and communicate with suppliers about delivery estimates
  • 7Ability to move or transport materials using pallet jacks and forklifts
  • 8Experience documenting non-conformances and ensuring corrective actions
  • 9Strong collaboration and communication with project managers and department heads
  • 10Knowledge of safety and quality standards in manufacturing environments
