What You'll Do10

  • 1Execute purchasing and planning activities to maintain uninterrupted production and customer fulfillment.
  • 2Create, manage, and monitor purchase orders with approved suppliers, following up to ensure on-time delivery.
  • 3Maintain accurate order management records and update ERP data, including delivery dates, procurement parameters, and supplier information.
  • 4Collaborate with internal stakeholders to execute sourcing strategies aligned with business objectives.
  • 5Analyze inventory levels, demand forecasts, and production requirements to set appropriate inventory buffers.
  • 6Escalate planning issues, supplier performance concerns, lead time changes, and supply disruptions to stakeholders.
  • 7Develop and maintain strong supplier relationships to improve service, quality, and delivery performance.
  • 8Coordinate engineering change notifications and communicate requirements to suppliers when applicable.
  • 9Resolve purchase order discrepancies, receiving issues, and inventory variances with warehouse personnel.
  • 10Generate reports and analyze data using Excel to support purchasing, inventory, and operational decisions.

Requirements10

  • 13+ years of Buyer, Planner, Buyer/Planner, or Materials Planner experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • 2Experience managing purchase orders, supplier relationships, and inventory planning.
  • 3Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with ability to interpret supply chain and inventory data.
  • 4Experience working within an ERP/MRP system.
  • 5Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including reporting and data analysis.
  • 6Excellent organizational, communication, and follow-up skills.
  • 7Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
  • 8Preferred: Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Operations, or Engineering.
  • 9Preferred: Experience with inventory control, materials management, and production planning.
  • 10Preferred: APICS/ASCM certification (CPIM, CSCP).
