
Manufacturing Engineer, Tier 1 Automotive & High-Volume Production
Overview
You own manufacturing process development for complex assembly products in a high-volume Tier 1 automotive environment. You define, design, and deliver processes from concept through full production scale-up. Working with cross-functional teams, you balance tight margins and aggressive schedules. Your work directly impacts production efficiency and product quality.
What You'll Do8
- 1Define manufacturing processes for new assembly products from concept to launch
- 2Design production line layouts and equipment specifications for high-volume output
- 3Scale processes from pilot to full production, meeting cost and quality targets
- 4Debug and refine assembly processes to reduce cycle time and waste
- 5Collaborate with design engineering to ensure manufacturability
- 6Drive continuous improvement initiatives using lean manufacturing principles
- 7Validate process capability with SPC and FMEA
- 8Support production ramp-up and troubleshoot process issues
Requirements7
- 15+ years experience in high-volume manufacturing within Tier 1 automotive
- 2Strong command of process engineering fundamentals and manufacturing process development
- 3Proven track record delivering complex assembly products from concept to production
- 4Hands-on experience with SPC, FMEA, and PFMEA
- 5Familiarity with CAD (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD) for line design
- 6Exposure to PLC and robotics in automated assembly
- 7Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, or Industrial Engineering
