Manufacturing Engineer Actalent

What You'll Do11
- 1Resolve day-to-day production issues that may impede shipping quality products addressing process chemical mechanical electrical challenges
- 2Provide technical assistance to manufacturing departments regarding machinery tooling fixtures gauges
- 3Serve as liaison between production and engineering developing engineering change notices and process specifications
- 4Maintain safe workplace ensuring compliance with federal state and local environmental and safety regulations
- 5Identify and implement manufacturing process changes supporting continuous improvement and productivity objectives
- 6Assist with engineering analyses including simulations make or buy decisions outsourcing line balancing
- 7Review project work from maintenance automation technicians and external contractors ensuring successful acceptance
- 8Conduct root cause analyses to determine line defect causes and drive yield improvements
- 9Support Lean Manufacturing efforts developing SOP TWI standard work RIE actions and 5S methodologies
- 10Manage and update site drawings layouts P&IDs and process flow diagrams
- 11Perform other related duties as assigned
Requirements11
- 1Bachelor’s degree in technical field or equivalent experience (engineering preferred)
- 25 to 10 years experience with responsibility for manufacturing process support in manufacturing environment
- 3Strong problem-solving skills determining root cause and implementing timely solutions
- 4Proficiency with machine automation and electrical troubleshooting
- 5Experience in high-volume 24/7 manufacturing environment with metal finishing preferred
- 6Certification in problem-solving (Lean Six Sigma Red X)
- 7Experience developing and implementing PFMEA/FMEA plans
- 8Willingness to travel up to 20%
- 91–3 years in equipment reliability (maintenance or reliability engineering)
- 10Travel documentation available
- 11Valid driver's license
