Dynamic Manufacturing Engineer leading hardware manufacturing on the MK2 Crew Systems team. Own production from concept to flight units, ensuring quality and efficiency. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to streamline operations and reduce costs.
What You'll Do11
- 1Take assigned crew-systems product from concept through production readiness – planning PRRs and assessing MRLs and PRLs
- 2Provide DFMA support influencing designs early for producibility
- 3Translate engineering requirements into repeatable manufacturing processes
- 4Develop and maintain manufacturing documentation including work instructions and process flow diagrams
- 5Support build of development and flight units resolving hardware issues on the floor
- 6Lead root cause analysis of non-conformances implementing corrective actions enhancing reliability
- 7Participate in process FMEAs and risk assessments validating new production lines
- 8Ensure alignment with AS9100 and ISO 9001 standards supporting safe space future
- 9Integrate automation and digital tools eliminating non-value-added tasks
- 10Lead cross-functional manufacturing engineering coordination across Design Quality Supply Chain and Operations
- 11Minimum Bachelor degree plus 3+ years manufacturing experience and 1+ year work instruction creation
Requirements5
- 1Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Manufacturing Electrical or Aerospace Engineering from accredited university
- 23+ years manufacturing industrial or process engineering experience
- 31+ year creating English work instructions
- 4Ability to proactively identify and resolve manufacturing risks driving process improvements
- 5U.S. citizenship permanent residency or lawful refugee/asylum status
