Overview

Lead manufacturing engineer role focused on developing and improving industrial processes to maximize product throughput and resource efficiency. This onsite position requires applying Lean Manufacturing methodologies across the production cycle. The ideal candidate will collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance schedule systems and part/process data integrity.

What You'll Do10

  • 1Work with customer or company released drawings and/or CAD models to develop manufacturing processes emphasizing visual media and standardized formats
  • 2Design workstation layouts prioritizing ergonomics and single piece flow while maintaining zero-defect policies
  • 3Coordinate inventory requirements with Materials department including safety stock levels and replenishment methodologies
  • 4Review and design in-process handling equipment for safe part transportation and identify tooling needs
  • 5Troubleshoot production issues and implement corrective actions
  • 6Generate and maintain operational targets while establishing inspection and training methods
  • 7Develop material process and workmanship specifications and submit proposals for product improvements
  • 8Maintain clean work areas adhering to 5S standards and follow QMS procedures
  • 9Coordinate engineering projects and review equipment technology for improvement opportunities
  • 10Complete additional tasks as assigned by the Director of Engineering

Requirements10

  • 1B.S.M.E or equivalent degree with materials background preferred
  • 2Experience with estimating processes and documentation required
  • 3Proficiency in CAD software such as Unigraphics
  • 4Strong problem-solving and organizational abilities
  • 5Ability to lift up to 25 pounds and work extended periods
  • 6Pass vision screening and possess strong communication skills
