Manufacturing Engineer Astronics

Lead optimization of finishing operations to enhance efficiency and quality at a global aerospace and military market. Drive continuous improvement and innovation within coatings and finishings departments.
What You'll Do11
- 1Analyze and optimize finishing area processes to improve efficiency and reduce waste
- 2Implement best practices for production output and quality standards
- 3Support operations through problem-solving and obstacle removal
- 4Maintain comprehensive process documentation and develop accurate bills of materials
- 5Collaborate with product design teams on manufacturability and feasibility
- 6Perform design activities including fixture development for customer specifications
- 7Investigate emerging technologies and establish product direction parameters
- 8Lead cross-functional activities to ensure on-time delivery and continuous improvement
- 9Work with supply chain and planning to maintain appropriate ERP lead times and costs
- 10Attend Quality Manual Standards Training and apply quality standards
- 11Develop strategic plans over 3-6 month time spans
Requirements9
- 1Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering Manufacturing Engineering Chemical Engineering or related field with two or more years of related experience
- 2Working knowledge of Paint Chromate and masking
- 3Ability to perform problem analysis and resolution
- 4Knowledge of Kaizen and Lean manufacturing techniques
- 5Strong computer skills in Microsoft Office programs
- 6Experience with statistical analysis of manufacturing process data
- 7Aerospace knowledge is strongly desired
- 8Excellent interpersonal communication and presentation abilities
- 9Planning and ability to think ahead
