Manager of Volunteer Engagement
Overview
Nourishing Hope seeks a manager to lead volunteer engagement initiatives ensuring operational success across Chicago sites. This role expands volunteer programs aligns with mission and supports organizational goals.
What You'll Do11
- 1Develop and execute volunteer program strategies recruiting scheduling recognizing documenting and integrating volunteers
- 2Create community for volunteers across sites and shifts integrate volunteers into other departments
- 3Supervise Volunteer Engagement Coordinators manage volunteer issues and coach staff
- 4Manage volunteer department budget and coordinate community corporate volunteer groups
- 5Oversee volunteer scheduling for programs events and collaborate with staff on program needs
- 6Work with external groups to staff community events expanding volunteer pool
- 7Create recognition rewards systems maintain volunteer database and generate Salesforce reports
- 8Inform volunteers about organization mission and coordinate training
- 9Act as ambassador for Nourishing Hope to broader community
- 10Provide support to Chief Operations Officer within scope
- 11Require bachelor's degree preferably in human services two years volunteer program oversight including staff management
Requirements10
- 1Bachelor’s degree preferably in human services field
- 2Two years overseeing volunteer programs serving at least 100 volunteers annually
- 3At least one year staff management and coaching experience
- 4Flexible schedule including evenings and weekends
- 5Proficiency in Microsoft Word Excel PowerPoint and Salesforce
- 6Strong written verbal and interpersonal communication skills
- 7Ability to navigate technology and handle multiple assignments
- 8Background check required due to Medicaid provider status
- 9Excellent project management skills with deadline prioritization
- 10Experience with trauma-informed mental health counseling and social services
Salary Insight
$60 - $70k per year
