What You'll Do10
- 1Build and lead the daily maintenance work schedule, coordinating with operations to slot emergency jobs.
- 2Create and implement a developmental plan for the mechanical crew, focusing on skill growth and cross-training.
- 3Use the CMMS work order system to assign tasks and track progress, ensuring preventive maintenance inspections stay on schedule.
- 4Run troubleshooting on plant process and equipment issues, leading group sessions to find fixes fast.
- 5Own spare parts inventory, tracking stock for mechanical, instrumentation, welding, and rotating equipment parts.
- 6Drive safety compliance for the whole maintenance department, enforcing adherence to Chemtrade policies and procedures.
- 7Lead incident investigations, closing action items to prevent recurrence.
- 8Assist in developing and communicating job safety analyses for plant processes.
- 9Manage maintenance training and education to ensure techs have the skills to perform their jobs.
- 10Prepare and manage the maintenance budget, scheduling for outages, and tracking metrics to improve reliability.
Requirements7
- 1High school diploma required.
- 25+ years of maintenance experience in a chemical, oil refinery, power, or pulp and paper plant.
- 33+ years of leadership experience directing hourly employees.
- 4Working knowledge of process equipment: pumps, motors, piping, valves, turbines, and heat exchangers.
- 5Experience with safety programs in an industrial facility.
- 6Experience using a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS).
- 7Proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel; familiarity with SAP purchasing and plant maintenance modules is a plus.
